Breakfast at the harbour.

Coffee at the Harbour coffee, seafood sandwiches at the seafood station on the Harbour Fountains square, berries at the County Fair shop and pastries at the creative quarter makes a perfect breakfast that is to be enjoyed at the Harbour Arms.

While there, go see Sol Calero's art pavilion, the outer harbour beach, ACME’s regeneration of the harbour seafront, Harbour viaduct and the Folkestone Boat dock.

Get lost on the streets of the Creative Quarter

2

Shop for posters and home decor, enjoy locals’s art, get fresh fruit and pastry, have a cocktail at the Market Square or coffee at the Planet Earth Kitchen.

3

Hike in the East Cliff and Warren County park

From the East Cliff Pavilion in the direction of the Railway bridge, take any trail along the coastline. Don’t forget to take breaks and enjoy the view of the cliffs once in a while.

Go to the beaches - barefoot run, black sands, pizza on the stones

Walk on the Sunny Sands beach and feel the cold water with your bare feet;

marvel at the black sands on the small hidden beach for the locals (you can find it walking from the National Coastwatch Institution, down the hill, following all the trails down to the sea). But most importantly, grab a pizza from Luben’s, and head to the Folkeston beach (in the area near the Mermaid cafe, you will see big rocks in the middle of the stony beach - perfect spot for the pizza picnic).

Walk the foresty paths of the Leas Promenade

Upper Leas, Lower Leas and Zig Zag paths - all worth walking! Not only beautifully planned by Decimus Burton (his other creations include works on the Kew Gardens and London Zoo) but also keeps a perfect balance between being in the wild and staying near the civilisation.

Sea view barbecue

Somewhere in between the Mermaids cafe and the Metropole steps would be your perfect spot for an open air barbecue. Salmon, veggies, marshmallows, garlic bread + fire, make for a perfect open-air sea view dinner!

Sunset over the colorful beach huts

From Folkestone beach to Sandgate beach, passing by the colourful beach huts on coastal path and Sandgate Castle. Walk or cycle and make sure to time it perfectly to watch the sunset on the beach.
